in MP's Morena late Monday.
Tension continues to simmer in Hingona Khurd village, around 50km from Gwalior, close to the Rajasthan border. Additional forces have been deployed, and officers are keeping a watch on the area to prevent any escalation. According to police, members of the

Jatav community

were returning from the Ambedkar rally, with loud music playing on a DJ system. Some members from

Gurjar community

objected to the noise, as a birthday celebration was on in one of their homes.
The argument turned violent. Around 10pm, amid a heated exchange, gunfire broke out. Sanjay Pippal, a member of Jatav community, received a bullet in the chest and died on spot. Another youth, Ranu Dauneria, was shot in the right hand and is undergoing treatment in Gwalior. A third person was also injured in the firing.
