2025 Preakness odds, post positions, betting: Journalism (8-5) is morning-line favorite for 150th Preakness

Journalism, the favorite at this year's Kentucky Derby and runner-up to Sovereignty, was installed as the 8-5 morning-line favorite for the 150th Preakness Stakes on Monday night. There will be no Triple Crown this year, as Sovereignty won't be a part of the nine-horse Preakness field. Journalism drew the No. 2 post.

Sandman (4-1) has the second-best morning-line odds out of the No. 7 post, followed by River Thames (9-2, post No. 6) and Clever Again (5-1, post No. 8). Pay Billy (post No. 5) and Gosger (post No. 9) have the longest odds at 20-1.

Seize the Grey (9-1) won last year's Preakness, with Kentucky Derby winner Mystik Dan finishing second and Catching Freedom coming in third.
