350-Pound Oregon Target Makes Big Recruiting Decision on Friday

Five-Star OT Immanuel Iheanacho narrows list to four schools ahead of visits

One of the most coveted linemen in the 2026 recruiting cycle has trimmed his list.

Five-star offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho announced Friday he is down to four schools: Oregon, LSU, Auburn, and Penn State.

The 6-foot-7, 350-pound behemoth from Baltimore is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the class of 2026, per On3. His official visit tour is well underway, starting with LSU last weekend and continuing with Auburn this week. He’ll visit Penn State on June 13 and Oregon on June 20 before making his commitment on August 5.

Prior to his visit slate, Oregon led the pack.

“Oregon is the top school, but these official visits will play a big part in my final decision,” Iheanacho told On3’s Chad Simmons. “My relationships with the coaches at Oregon is what has them on top. I like the staff a lot and we can talk about anything.”

He also noted that his parents are big fans of Oregon, adding weight to the Ducks’ case.

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning

Oregon head coach Dan Lanning leads his team onto the field prior to the Ducks' 49-21 win over Washington during the 2024 college football season.

Offensive line coach A’lique Terry has made Iheanacho his top target after a string of high-profile misses in the 2026 class. With no offensive line commits yet and top targets like Jackson Cantwell, Grant Wise and Tommy Tofi committing elsewhere, Iheanacho represents a potential anchor for the Ducks' future.

Oregon will look to seal the deal when they host Iheanacho in Eugene later this month.
