Bills Fan Favorite Free Agent Meets With Giants and 49ers

Gabe Davis is coming off a rough year in Jacksonville, but the former Buffalo Bills weapon still has some interest around the league.

The Buffalo Bills watched one of their former fan favorites hit free agency last week with Gabe Davis' release from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Following the team's addition of three free agent wideouts, though, a reunion was never meant to be.

Now, it seems that Davis is on the way out the door to another team - which one, though, remains the question.

Fox Sports insider Jordan Schultz reported Monday that Davis was meeting with the San Francisco 49ers. Days later, Davis met with the New York Giants. Through it all, it appears there is growing interest for the former WR2 on the Bills.

"Davis is recovering from an injury he dealt with this past season, but is expected to be fully healthy for the 2025 campaign," said Schultz in an X post.

As a former fourth-round pick out of UCF, Davis became known as a dependable receiving option for Buffalo. He recorded over 500 yards receiving in each year he was with the team including a combined 1,500 yards in the last two years.

After signing a free agent deal with the Jaguars last season, though, Davis' journey took a turn for the worst. He struggled to stay on the field due to injuries and was not as dependable as he was in Western New York.

Davis' struggles may have been obvious, but it's clear the rest of the league isn't ready to give up on him just yet.

And Buffalo - unless GM Brandon Beane makes an unexpected call - will have to be on the sidelines for that as well.
