Simone Inzaghi is expected to name his strongest available line-up for Inter’s return leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich in San Siro on Wednesday evening, while Vincent Kompany still has several key first-team players out of action.
The Nerazzurri have a 2-1 lead in the tie thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi at the Allianz Arena last Tuesday, but there is still plenty of work to do before a spot in the semi-final is secured.
Kick-off this evening is due at 20.00 BST.

There are no major doubts about Inzaghi’s line-up for the return leg against Bayern. Inter have eight ‘guaranteed’ starters – Yann Sommer, Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Hakan Calhanoglu, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Federico Dimarco, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, all of whom are expected to start on Wednesday night.
Only Denzel Dumfries and Piotr Zielinski are unavailable through injury. Joaquin Correa is ineligible to feature as he is not included on Inter’s UEFA squad list.
Bayern are expected to have Aleksandar Pavlovic and former Juventus forward Kingsley Coman available again for the second leg.
Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala all remain out through injury.
Inter vs. Bayern: Probable line-ups

Inter (3-5-2): Sommer; Pavard, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; L.Martinez, Thuram.
Bayern (4-2-3-1): Urbig; Laimer, Dier, Kim, Stanisic; Kimmich, Goretzka; Olise, Müller, Sané; Kane.
