Charles Barkley Makes Bold Prediction on Stephen Curry's Injury Status for Game 2 vs. Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors went on the road and stunned coach Chris Finch's Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night, seizing a 1-0 lead in their second round NBA Playoffs series.

Warriors superstar guard Stephen Curry scored 13 points in 13 minutes of action before leaving the court with a left hamstring strain that sparked plenty of discussion amid the Warriors' 99-88 Game 1 victory.

After the game, NBA on TNT studio analyst Charles Barkley shared his thoughts on the Curry injury, offering a prediction amid heaps of speculation surrounding the Warriors guard and four-time league champion.

"There's zero chance that Steph plays in Game 2. Zero chance," Barkley said on the show.

"That's gonna give him like Game 3 and 4, he's going probably be out for like four or five days," Barkley said, with studio host Ernie Johnson noting that Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at San Francisco's Chase Center, home of the Warriors.

"He's definitely not playing in Game 2 since they won today," Barkley added.

Curry has played for just one NBA team, the Warriors, throughout his NBA career, which began in October 2009.

He has averaged nearly 27 points per game for his career and led the Warriors to the 2025 Playoffs after coach Steve Kerr's team swung an in-season deal for Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat, sending fan favorite Andrew Wiggins to South Beach.

The Warriors got 24 points from Buddy Hield, 20 from Butler and 18 from Draymond Green as their 'Strength in Numbers' approach worked in Curry's stead.
