MIDLAND The No. 9-ranked Odessa College softball team finished off rivals Midland College, winning Friday’s doubleheader by scores of 8-3 and 11-3 on the road.
With the wins, the Lady Wranglers got the sweep and improved to 35-4 overall, 16-0 in Western Junior College Athletic Conference play.
Midland College fell to 37-8, 10-4.
With the series sweep, Odessa College remains at the top of the WJCAC standings.
Odessa College won Thursday’s games by scores of 6-4 and 7-6 to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
Next up for the Lady Wranglers will be a four-game series against Howard College beginning with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Friday at the Wrangler Softball Complex.
