NEW DELHI: The Union home ministry has sanctioned Z-category
security
cover to Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama on an all-India basis, after intelligence inputs warned of likely threats to him, reports Bharti Jain.
Sources, however, refused to disclose details of the trigger for the heightened security for the spiritual leader, who escaped to India after China occupied Tibet and has since become a thorn for
Beijing
as asymbol of Tibetan resistance. CRPF will be handling his security detail, which will comprise commandos.
