Dow, S&P 500 Head Higher Again
The stock market is in for a wild week if this morning’s trading is any indication.
The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average were both trading higher again after opening up, then falling suddenly on little news. The Dow was up 160 points, or 0.5% while the S&P was up less than 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite was down just 0.4% after dropping more than 1% earlier.
Wall Street is jittery following a wave of economic data releases and an outlook from Walmart that foreshadowed some cracks in the economy; the S&P 500 marked its worst day of the year on Friday.
