European Stocks Jump After U.S. Tech Levy Shift

European stocks were racking up gains Monday, as investors reacted to the news that the Trump administration would pause tariffs on some technology goods.

The continent's flagship Stoxx 600 index gained 1.9% in morning trading. Frankfurt's Dax jumped 2.3%, Paris's CAC 40 rose 2%, and London's FTSE 100 was up 1.8%.

The gains came after U.S. officials said certain items, including smartphones and personal computers, would be exempt from tariffs for now.
