Benjamin Pavard and Matteo Darmian have won praise for quietly solid performances in yesterday’s Serie A clash between Bologna and Inter Milan.
Italian outlet FCInter1908 name the two right-sided defenders as being among Inter’s better performers in the match.
Inter Milan were under pressure for large parts of yesterday’s Serie A clash with Bologna.
The Rossoblu pressed high, and looked to attack Inter directly.
On the left side, winger Benjamin Dominguez was an important outlet for Bologna with his pace and dribbling ability.
Meanwhile, Dominguez had plenty of support from left-back Juan Miranda.

But in the end, Bologna produced very little down their left side.
There were forays forward down that flank. But they met stern resistance from the two main player tasked with defending that side of the pitch for Inter.
Defender Benjamin Pavard was solid in his penalty area, never letting Dominguez past him to create anything dangerous. There were also a couple important clearances by the Frenchman.
And Pavard got plenty of help from Matteo Darmian.
The veteran former Manchester United and Torino defender used his experience to keep Bologna quiet.
Then, when Dan Ndoye switched to that flank, little changed.
