eXp World Holdings names Jesse Hill as interim CFO

eXp World Holdings, the parent company of eXp Realty, announced this week that it has appointed Jesse Hill as its interim chief financial officer. The leadership change is effective April 1 as the current CFO, Kent Cheng, transitions into an advisory role.

Hill is a veteran finance leader in the real estate industry. He currently serves as vice president of international finance and corporate financial planning and analysis at eXp Realty. During Hill’s tenure, eXp World Holdings will continue its search for a new CFO.

Cheng will remain in an advisory role until Aug. 31. eXp emphasized that Cheng’s departure is not the result of any disagreement.

Glenn Sanford, the founder, chairman and CEO of eXp World Holdings, said that Hill has been a key component in the company’s growth. He is confident that Hill has the tools to succeed in the new role.

“Jesse Hill has been an important part of our growth and expansion plans,” Sanford said in a statement. “Under Jesse’s financial leadership, International Realty has expanded into eight additional markets, increasing revenue nearly five-fold and significantly improving segment operating margins.”

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Kent for his significant contributions to eXp, and to congratulate Jesse on his new role as Interim CFO,” eXp board member Randall Miles said in a statement. “We are confident in eXp’s long-term outlook due to the platform’s leading scale, superior profitability, cash flow profile and highly talented team, and look forward to naming a permanent CFO to help lead eXp through its next phase of growth.”

Hill expressed excitement for his new role, stressing his dedication to keeping the ball rolling and maximizing returns on agent investments.

“One of my top priorities as Interim CFO will be to ensure that our agent-centric investments deliver the highest ROI to our agent base as we remain focused on operating efficiently at scale,” Hill said.

Hill also brings a proven track record of success to this new role, achieving recognition from several organizations across the industry — including HousingWire, which recognized Hill as a 2025 Finance Leader.

Beyond the real estate industry, Hill previously served as a financial analyst for The Walt Disney Co., where he also started his finance career as an intern.
