One of the things I've learned over the years about wallets is that functionality doesn't have to equal ugly or boring. Yes, a good wallet should securely hold essentials, but it doesn't have to compromise on style. Case in point: Kate Spade's Madison Slim Wallet. Down to just $59, the wallet is sleek and sophisticated and will keep you organized.
Slim enough to fit into most handbags (yes, even smaller shoulder bags), the Madison comes in four colors. While you can never go wrong with a classic black, you can also choose from cream, pink and a pretty pistachio.
They're all super cute, which is why a handful of reviewers own the wallet in multiple colors to mix and match with their outfits. I mean, it's not a bad idea considering the fab discount.
Why is this a good deal? 💰
To put it simply, it's a wallet-friendly wallet. It's also an excellent way to treat yourself to a designer deal without paying hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. Normally clocking in at $179, the outlet slashed the price by 67%, bringing it down to a palatable $59. Honestly, who doesn't love a discount of over 50%?
Why do I need this? 🤔
As someone who has owned the Kate Spade wallet since college, I can confidently say that this is the Goldilocks of wallets. Why? Well, big ones are great because they hold a lot of stuff, but they can't fit in many handbags. On the other hand, small ones can be tucked into more petite purses, but they won't hold all the essentials. The Madison wallet falls in between: Its slim factor means it takes up less space than expected, but it can hold nearly as much as bigger zip-around wallets.
The Madison wallet has a snap closure, back zip pocket, two billfold pockets, ID window and a wild 10 interior credit card slots (also good for gift cards, punch cards, business cards and little photos of your dog). It's also made of a sturdy yet soft Saffiano leather for a luxe feel.

What reviewers say 💬
I'm not the only fan of this timeless wallet — hundreds of reviewers agree. The biggest praise? That it fits anything.
Pros 👍
"Perfect size to fit in a crossbody bag," noted one fashionista. "I love that the coin pocket is on the back of the wallet. Beautifully structured and ... good quality. Easy to open with the snap button, plenty of space for cards."
Already a Kate Spade devotee? Another fan wrote that it's the "perfect size wallet for most Kate Spade bags," adding that it's "very well constructed and has plenty of room."
Already walleted up? According to this final reviewer, the Madison makes an excellent gift: "My wife loves it! Also bought one at the outlet store for each of my three daughters." (I concur: My grandma bought mine as a gift, too!)
Cons 👎
While most shoppers are generally fans, a couple cited issues with the sizing of some compartments. For instance, one five-star reviewer noted: "Holds my cards, coins or small items in the back, which is perfect," they explained. "However, I wish the cash compartment wasn’t so tight ... (the) area is very limited to how much it can hold."
A few other customers called out the size of the ID holder. "I love the softness of the leather and the durability," shared another shopper. "The only thing that disappointed me was that my driver's license does not fit in the ID slot." (For what it's worth, I found this compartment easier to use over time as it stretched out a bit.)
Two-toned accessories more your thing? You can grab the same style of wallet — for the same price — in dichromatic hues of gray/cream and black/tan.
