Here's what's in the Oscars gift bags, including swag that's actually affordable

Have you watched any of the Oscar-nominated films yet? No? Well, you only have a few weeks left if you want to catch up before the winners are announced. The 97th Academy Awards is slated for Sunday, March 2, and we'll be tuning in for all the glamorous red carpet outfits, over-the-top speeches and awkward moments.

Want a little peek behind the scenes before the big day? We found out what's up for grabs inside the six-figure Oscar gift bags received by select nominees. This year's swag bags, aptly called the "Everyone Wins" nominee gift bags, were provided by Los Angeles-based Distinctive Assets, an entertainment marketing company. The company gifts them to the top 25 acting and directing nominees. That means celebs including Adrien Brody, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Ralph Fiennes, Cynthia Erivo, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña will get one.

"While our gifts may be famous for being fun and fabulous, they also serve as a means to elevate small businesses, minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs and companies that give back," said Lash Fary, founder of Distinctive Assets, in a press release. "This year, on the heels of the historically tragic L.A. fires, we have found even more ways that our celebrity swag can do good in our community."

So, what did stars receive this year? Some of the highest-ticket items include:

But not all of the swag is out of reach for those of us who aren't on the silver screen. Below, you'll find 10 affordable items from the Oscars swag bag, from a durable travel backpack to clean skin care. You can even snack on some of the items while you catch up on all the Best Picture nominations from your couch.

This foundation is super breathable and soothing, thanks to its aloe vera base, and it claims to help build collagen and elastin as you wear it. You can get 11 shades at Dermstore, or more on the brand's website.

"This is the only foundation that I will wear," said one Dermstore buyer. "It [protects] me from breakouts, is moisturizing, and is super natural-looking while also providing solid coverage. I tried at least 10 different foundations before I found this one and always would wear full-coverage ones. This one has got me to love my natural skin and wear less makeup."

This NASA-inspired device is designed to help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and sleep deeper. It uses red-light therapy and a patented 28-minute protocol that mirrors the natural cycle of light at the end of the day — the goal is to help your body wind down naturally. It's portable, so you can take it along when you travel to help beat jet lag too.

"This works and has led me to do more research on the benefits of red light," said a fan. "I mostly have noticed an improvement in sleep inertia that I suffered from. After using this (on first use) I woke up feeling great! Even when I get less than eight hours of sleep, I feel good."

Karma Nuts' air-roasted cashews are non-GMO, vegan and gluten-free, and they retain their natural skins for two times the fiber content. Celebs got a variety pack of bestselling flavors including Sea Salt, Cocoa Dusted, Golden Turmeric, Cinnamon, Peri Peri and Toasted Coconut. (Note: I've tried the Toasted Coconut — it tastes like dessert!)

"I've always loved cashews, and when I read about these, I just had to try them. Extra-healthy, as they still have the skins on, which I'd never seen before," wrote this happy snacker. "Also, the flavors enhance the cashew flavor rather than masking it, and they don’t add a bunch of empty calories."

If you're concerned about the amount of microplastics in your kitchen, get a wood cutting board like this one from John Boos. This is more affordable compared with the brand's other high-end boards (we're not sure exactly which one celebs are receiving). It's reversible, so you can cut meats on one side and veggies on the other.

"Fits a small work area," said one fan. "Light enough to pick up often to clean in the sink. Can stand on edge to fit in cabinet. Excellent cutting surface for vegetables, cheeses. Nice charcuterie board."

Ilia's clean skin-care line aims to reveal "skin that looks like skin." Celebs will be receiving a few of the brand's makeup brushes, as well as its award-winning Limitless Lash Mascara, Clean Line Gel Liner and noncomedogenic Sunshift Cream Bronzer. The bronzer is infused with squalane to moisturize skin as you wear it, and it has 12 hours of staying power. Get it in one of four subtly shimmery shades.

"It is a lot easier to work with compared to regular powder bronzer, and I love the creamy/dewy results!" a fan said. "The shimmer and shade work well with my fair skin. It lasts all day and feels surprisingly lightweight. The only improvement would be if it were bolder, but I'm able to achieve the desired shade/look by layering!'

"The best way to clean jewelry while wearing it," said this buyer. "Fast and easy. The shine it gives my diamonds and gold is amazing. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a jewelry store cleaning result."
