Coming off a season that saw rookie Caitlin Clark earn All-WNBA First Team honors as the Fever reached postseason play, Indiana enters 2025 with high expectations under new head coach Stephanie White.
On Wednesday, the Fever made an exciting announcement about two of Clark's teammates, DeWanna Bonner and Natasha Howard.
Bonner signed a one-year free-agent deal with Indiana on February 2, 2025.
Howard rejoined her original draft team on January 31, 2025.
Indiana will host a meet-and-greet with Bonner and Howard at Chicken Salad Chick in Avon on Thursday, offering fans an up-close opportunity to connect with two of the league’s most accomplished players.
Bonner, a 6-foot-4 forward, was drafted fifth overall by the Phoenix Mercury in 2009 and has since carved out a Hall of Fame-caliber career.
She won WNBA championships with Phoenix in 2009 and 2014, earned six All-Star selections (2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024), and was named Sixth Woman of the Year three times (2009-2011).
In her most recent stint with the Connecticut Sun in 2024, she averaged 15.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game.
Howard, Indiana’s 2014 first-round pick, returns to the Fever after an 11-year journey through Minnesota, Seattle, New York, and Dallas.
A three-time WNBA champion (2017, 2018, 2020) and 2019 Defensive Player of the Year, Howard has been named to two All-WNBA teams and earned All-Star nods in 2019 and 2022.
Last season with Dallas, she averaged 17.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.
Both Bonner and Howard bring championship pedigrees and defensive prowess to a Fever roster that finished 20-20 in 2024 and made the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
