InventHelp Inventor Develops Improved Speculum for Vaginal Exams (NJR-215)

, /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a physician, and I wanted to create an improved speculum to reduce pain during vaginal exams," said an inventor, from Montclair, N.J., "so I invented the INFLASPEC. My design would allow for gradual expansion of the vaginal canal for testing to reduce discomfort. It also could help in detecting cervical cancer earlier."

The patent-pending invention provides an improved speculum for vaginal exams. In doing so, it would be used in place of rigid speculums. As a result, it allows the exam to be performed with less discomfort and pain. It also may reduce the apprehension and trepidation of the vaginal exam. The invention features an innovative design that is easy to employ so it is ideal for gynecologists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, outpatient clinics, etc. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.

The original design was submitted to the New Jersey sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
