The Detroit Tigers battled the Boston Red Sox in a game between traditional American League powers on Tuesday.
The Tigers and Red Sox were tied at six runs a piece heading into the late stages of the game as former Tigers free agent signing Javier Baez continued his hot first half of the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
Baez thrilled the hometown fans at Comerica Park with a three-run shot that travled 392 feet at an exit velocity of 106 miles per hour and a launch angle of 23 degrees.
Baez's home run was his fourth of the season and 24th run batted in of the season as the Tigers did their best to take control of a challenging game in the Motor City.

"The year of Javy continues," Tigers play-by-play man Jason Benetti said during the game as fans went crazy in the stands.
The Detroit Tigers third baseman, formerly of the Chicago Cubs and New York Mets, has a batting average of over .300 on the season.
Baez has regained the form that made him a highly sought after player during his first handful of seasons in Major League Baseball, and Detroit fans are loving it.
"Comeback player of the year," one fan wrote.
"Incoming drug test from manfraud," one fan wrote about MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, perhaps in jest.
Another fan indicated that they believe this new version of Baez could be the norm in Detroit, since he has once again found his stroke.
"Javy doing Javy things!" a fan said.
"I'm here for it, up until it affects the Cubs!" they said with a laughing and crying face.
The game went to extra innings as it remained tied after nine. The Red Sox took a 7-6 lead in the extra frame as the game continued.
