Police arrested two suspects after a

high-speed chase

and gunfight, and recovered from them jewellery worth Rs 15 crore.
The showroom’s security guard said, “Six criminals posing as customers came on two bikes and snatched my rifle before assaulting me. They seized staff’s phones at gunpoint and began looting jewellery.”
Later in the day, three suspicious bikes were intercepted on Ara-Babura road. Two suspects abandoned their bike and attempted to flee. “When cops chased them, they opened fire. In self-defence, police retaliated and injured the criminals in the leg,” said a cop. Police recovered two of the three bags full of the loot, two pistols, 10 live cartridges, and a bike.
