The Jimmies could not keep the Vikings in the ballpark and it cost them in a 12-5 loss to the Vikings in the second game of the doubleheader.

The Vikings hit six home runs in the game while the Jimmies hit two of their own.

The Jimmies were the ones to open the scoring in the first when Kayla Quintanilla hit a run scoring double to go up 1-0 before the Vikings’ Ashlyn Diemert hit a solo shot to tie the game up at one and then Kennadi Stone hit a three-run shot to give her team a 4-1 lead in the bottom of the first. The Vikings (17-16, 6-4) were not done there though adding one more in the frame to take a 5-1 lead.

The Jimmies (25-12, 9-1) would not lay down though as in the third, Quintanilla hit a three-run shot to bring it to within one run at 5-4. Dimert continued her big day at the plate with a two run homer in the fourth which was followed by former Jimmie Maddy Zander celebrating senior day with a three-run shot to go up 10-4.
