Jimmy Butler Sends Stephen Curry Message After Injury in Warriors-Timberwolves Game 1

The Golden State Warriors had a great start to the second round of the playoffs on Tuesday night as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1.

With the victory, the Warriors were able to steal a win on the road to take a 1-0 lead in the series and steal home-court advantage.

Buddy Hield led the way offensively for Golden State as he scored 24 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Draymond Green also had a great performance with 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists while Jimmy Butler added 20 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists of his own in the 99-88 victory.

While the Warriors were able to grab a crucial victory in Game 1, they also suffered a massive loss as well.

Of course, that would be the loss of their superstar point guard Stephen Curry who exited the game early in the second quarter due to a left hamstring injury.

Curry would be ruled out shortly after exiting the game as the Warriors announced that he had suffered a left hamstring strain.

This is a massive blow for the Warriors but they did have players step up in his absence and lead them to a victory in Game 1.

One of those players who stepped up was Butler and he sent a message regarding Curry after the game.

“We want Steph back, I'll tell you that... Steph is our best player, and the game is much easier when we've got him,” Butler said after Curry left Game 1 due to an injury.

Of course, Butler, like the Warriors, wants Curry back as soon as possible due to his impact on the game as he gives Golden State the best opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Despite this, Curry could be sidelined for an extended period depending on how his MRI turns out on Wednesday.

Either way, the Warriors now head into Game 2 on Thursday looking to take a commanding lead in the series before returning home, but it remains to be seen whether Curry will be available to play.
