on Friday rejected the

bail application

of Kannada actress Ranya Rao in connection with a

gold smuggling case

. Rao, who was arrested last month, remains in judicial custody as investigations continue into her alleged involvement in the racket.
Meanwhile,

Tarun Konduru

, the second accused in the case, has also filed a bail application, which the court will hear tomorrow at 3 pm. Konduru is suspected to have played a key role in the smuggling operation, with authorities linking him to international networks.
