A man has died while dismantling a Ferris wheel at a fair in northern Germany, police said on Tuesday.
The 49-year-old was working to take down the ride at the Osterwiese, a major festival in the city of Bremen, when he fell several metres to the ground.
He passed away at the scene due to the severity of his injuries.
Criminal police are investigating the cause of the accident.
The Osterwiese is one of Germany's biggest funfairs, held annually for 16 days from Easter.
This year's edition ended on Sunday and drew some 500,000 visitors.
