Inter Miami CF defender Noah Allen could soon be representing the Greek national team after filing a FIFA one-time switch to change his association from the United States to Greece on the international stage.

The paperwork was recently approved by FIFA, according to the Change of Association platform.

Allen, 20, was born in the United States to an American father and Greek mother, giving him the option to play for either country under current FIFA rules.

The defender played five games for the United States at the Concacaf Under-20 Championship in 2022, forcing him to file the necessary paperwork for the one-time switch in order to be eligible for Greece.

He has never appeared for the senior USMNT.

Allen currently plays as a center back for Inter Miami after joining the club as a Homegrown player in March of 2022. He has since made 49 Major League Soccer appearances for the Herons, recording one goal and two assists.

He came on as a substitute in the Concacaf Champions Cup second-leg win over Kansas City on Feb. 25 and was also in Javier Mascherano's XI for Miami's 4-1 win against Houston Dynamo FC on Sunday.

Allen stands as the latest former U.S. youth national team figure to file for the one-time switch, following the footsteps of MLS player Obed Vargas who decided to change his international association to Mexico.
