Patty LaRocco, a veteran New York City real estate broker, has joined Compass after departing Douglas Elliman, where she was one of the firm’s top-performing agents in new development and residential sales.
LaRocco has overseen more than $3 billion in real estate transactions throughout her career. She brings her Patty LaRocco Team to Compass with two existing members and plans for expansion.
“I’m grateful for my time at Douglas Elliman and the support I received there,” LaRocco said. “However, I felt it was time for a new chapter. I’m excited to connect with a fresh network of friends and support moving forward.”
LaRocco’s client roster has included figures from the finance industry, celebrities and other prominent individuals. Among her notable transactions was the $31 million sale of a townhouse previously owned by Weber Soros, the ex-wife of billionaire George Soros.
She also handled one of Park Slope’s most expensive condominium sales, which closed at $6.95 million in 2021.
“With her city-wide business experience and distinctive approach to business, we’re thrilled to welcome Patty into our community and help her grow even further,” said Gordon Golub, Compass’s tri-state vice president.
A lifelong New Yorker, LaRocco has lived in several neighborhoods, including Tribeca, and specializes in sales across Manhattan and Brooklyn. She attributes her success to client referrals and a business model rooted in relationships over promotion.
“I believe in letting clients choose me,” she said, emphasizing long-term partnerships and personal connections.
Her background also includes work in art, film and television, as well as experience as a former multimedia company owner.
