I'm sometimes asked how many flights I've taken in my life, and I'm always stumped. I used to take vacations like a 'normal' person until I got rid of everything and started traveling the world full-time. Needless to say, I'm always perfecting my packing game, which means I'm always on the hunt for deals — and there are a ton of 'em right now at Walmart's travel sale, where everything is up to 75% off. A lot of my favorite travel items are discounted, and so are a lot of cool-looking things I haven't tried yet.

I have my go-to items, of course, like a supportive pillow to perfect my posture en route and a passport holder to keep me from misplacing my most precious cargo (you guessed it, both are on sale below!). But I always keep my eyes peeled and my ears perked for recommendations. Luckily, I have lots of travel-loving product experts close by — I'm talking about the Yahoo shopping editors. A bunch of these busy bees were kind enough to share the travel items they won't leave home without, either.

Some pride themselves on organization hacks like a tricked-out toiletry bag (just $28), while others are all about creature comforts like a travel outfit that feels like pajamas (save over 50%). One of our editors prioritizes, above all, a gadget that keeps her phone fully charged when there isn't an outlet in sight — and it's on sale for just $18. One thing we're all into, though, is saving money. So I pooled all of our preferences together and compiled a master list of 15 cherished travel items from the Yahoo team that are part of Walmart's big sale. Keep scrolling to get a smart head start on your next getaway!

This neck pillow is less about comfort as it is about health for me. I suffered a severely herniated disc while on a flight to London back in 2019 and have been serious about keeping my spine aligned ever since. That's why I opt for a memory foam version like this one. It's adjustable, sturdy and offers more support than those airport gift shop neck pillows.

And this deal includes earplugs and a storage bag, too! If you buy one thing for your next trip, let it be this 'insurance policy' for a good rest.

True story: I once forgot my passport at airport security on my way home from Kenya. For a person like me who tends to get overstimulated, a passport holder I can sling over my shoulder or around my neck is indispensable. It holds other forms of identification, too, and even my phone and glasses — all items I'm constantly using as I move through airports and bus stations.

With this holder, everything I'm at high risk of losing is literally attached to me. This case has RFID protection to prevent remote theft, too — a nice bonus feature.

Senior Commerce Editor Rory Halperin is in the process of transitioning all of her luggage to hard-shell and this bestselling set — just $85 for three pieces! — is a no-brainer.

"I love that these suitcases are lightweight, spacious and matching. There's a size for every type of trip, whether I'm planning a weekend getaway or a multi-day vacation to Disney World. Oh, and the colors! I love this gold, but the set also comes in bright shades like lavender and turquoise — they're not only fun, but also make it easier to spot your luggage at the airport carousel," she said.

Who said an overnight bag can't be cute? Halperin is also picking up this stylish one that comes with a matching toiletries bag.

"I have to admit — I already own a handful of overnight bags, but this one caught my eye. It looks way more expensive than it is and I love that it's expandable if I need more room for souvenirs on a return trip," she said. There's a hidden safe pocket for things like your phone and passport and the pass-through pocket allows it to attach easily to my suitcase. The smaller case is perfect for things like shampoo, lotion and makeup."

If you've ever struggled to shove all of your toiletry items in your luggage, this bag may be just what you need. Senior Deals Writer Britt Ross is impressed with how much it fit, going so far as to call it an accessory "even Mary Poppins would be impressed with!"

Added Ross: "It's teeming with pockets to keep different types of products organized and separated; stash your makeup in one, skin care in another and toiletries in a third. It's even got a designated space for storing makeup brushes, along with holders to keep bottles upright. A built-in hanger allows you to place it on a shower curtain rod or a towel hook — because we all know hotel bathroom sinks are notoriously tiny."

Executive Editor Nicole Sforza admits that she's often gotten full-size products taken away from her at airport security because they were over the 3.4-ounce limit. (Whoops!)

"On our last trip, my daughter tried to sneak in a bottle of Bath & Body Works fragrance — that thing was a hefty 8 ounces. Well, never again! I finally sprung for a pack of travel bottles and I'm happy to report that they're travel-changing," she explained. "These sizes are perfect for a week-long trip; I used the bottles for sunscreen, aloe, body wash and more. There's a spray bottle and a pump bottle too. I like the silicone feel of the tubes in my hand, and appreciate that they're BPA-free. The brand thought of everything, even down to including a mini funnel for easy transferring of precious product."

Deputy Editor Izabella Zaydenberg is all about comfort when she's traveling, especially on long flights or car rides — and this loungewear set screams cozy.

"My ideal travel uniform is a set of PJs, but since that’s apparently in poor taste, I’m always looking for the next best thing — and I think I found it with this comfy sweat set," she said. "The ribbing makes it feel fancier than the average fleece and it’s lightweight enough for chilly spring and summer evenings. It’s on sale in four colors, though I’m partial to this chocolate brown shade."

Let's be real: It is so hard to stay organized when you travel. Luggage organizers give you a fighting chance. Senior Home & Garden Editor Jessica Doddel-Feder has been on the hunt for the perfect packing cubes for her next trip.

"I think I may be the last person to try them, which makes no sense because I pride myself on cramming as many clothes as possible into my carry-on whenever I travel," Doddel-Feder shared. I usually roll everything, but it can take a long time. I'm hoping these cubes will help me pack quicker — and stay more organized when I'm on the road."

These days, we all travel with so many electronics that need charging every night. Beauty Editor Jennifer Romolini finds this gadget to be invaluable while vacationing.

"After years of teetering dangerously at 7% charge across my devices when I travel and finding hotel rooms lacking outlets, I finally invested in this powerful, portable 3-in-1 charging station which brings my phone, AirPods and watch up to full strength simultaneously and with great speed," she said.

Shopping Director Jeanine Edwards is an avid seltzer water drinker, so the idea of going even five or six hours without it makes her panic. To keep herself sane (and hydrated, of course), she always travels with an insulated cup that she can fill with bubbly water once I get through the security line at the airport.

"I like the extra-large size of this one because I'll have plenty to drink for the duration of my trip without needing to refill," Edwards explained. "And it's insulated, so it keeps my fizzy H20 cold for hours."

Senior Health Writer Laura Williams lived in Costa Rica for five years, and in the nine months between her official move and her decision to move, she traveled back and forth from Texas to CR at least once a month. Her top travel tip: Always carry an extra-large duffel bag inside your standard luggage.

"When I was moving, I'd pack extra clothing and household goods inside one of these giant bags, then store them at a friend's house in Costa Rica. I'd then fold up the duffel bag and bring it back with me to Texas to do it again on the next trip. It works just as well the other way around — travel light to your destination (makes transfers and flights easier to manage), but have an extra duffel with you to fill with souvenirs and whatever you want to bring back," shared Williams. "I love that this option is just $22 and even has lots of extra pockets and shoe storage if you need them."

If you're like Initiatives Editor Julia Webb and always bring jewelry with you when you travel, listen up. A travel case, like this one, makes it easy to keep all of your precious pieces in place.

"I love having jewelry with me on a vacation, because even if I pack simple outfits, I know I'll have something to elevate them. This travel jewelry case has room for all of my favorite pieces — it has ring slots, necklace hooks and holes to clip in several pairs of earrings. No more digging for a stud at the bottom of my makeup bag!" Webb shared. "I think this would also make a great gift. And since it comes in six colors and is currently less than $10, I'm stocking up."

Flying with a dog or cat? Initiatives Writer Ellie Conley has brought her poodle on more than 20 flights with her, so she's mastered the airport routine.

"This dog carrier with wheels is a game changer. The soft-sided carrier fits under the seat in front of me (as required by most airlines), but it comes with removable wheels to make getting to the gate a whole lot easier," she said. "With this, I can smoothly wheel him around the airport and when we get to our gate, take off the wheels and stash them in my personal item/tote bag."

If you're on the go with super little ones, a baby carrier is the way to go, whether you're traveling via plane, train or boat. Senior Commerce Writer Kristin Granero notes that a handful of moms-to-be have requested this for baby showers!

"I have a few friends who've asked this for baby showers and/or use this for traveling and they love it. Not only is it hands-free, but it's comfy (padded) and supportive for children weighing up to 44 pounds. It's also available in a range of colors and patterns, and it's made of 100% machine-washable cotton for easy cleaning," Granero shared.

When vacationing with her tween, Senior Home Writer Lisa Schweitzer looks for comfy items that aren't too pricey.

"My daughter likes to travel in soft, cozy clothing, so this inexpensive hoodie and sweatpants set is a win for both of us," she said. "I tend to worry when she wears pricier ones as I know one piece will inevitably either get stained or lost in an airport or a rental car."
