Pacers Lead NBA Playoffs In Crucial Statistic After Game 4 Performance vs. Cavaliers

The Indiana Pacers continue to surprise the NBA world with their impressive run through this year's playoffs. Upon the final day of the regular season, the Pacers found themselves in the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture. They were set to face the always dangerous, Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee Bucks, however, they handled their business, advancing in five games.

The Pacers then landed a matchup with the No. 1 seed, Cleveland Cavaliers. The Pacers quickly stole home-court advantage, winning both games in Cleveland to start the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

After Sunday's 129-109 win over the Cavaliers, the Pacers now find themselves just one win away from their second consecutive Eastern Conference Finals appearance.

The Pacers put forth a masterful performance in Game 4 vs. the Cavaliers, now holding a commanding 3-1 series lead. Their convincing win was fueled by one crucial statistic.

The Pacers now lead the 2025 NBA playoffs in the most assists by any team in a single game. They dished out 37 assists as a team, now leading all teams in this year's playoffs.

The Pacers had three players finish Sunday's game with at least five assists. Backup point guard, T.J. McConnell would lead the way with eight assists, ahead of Andrew Nembhard who had seven, and starting point guard, Tyrese Haliburton would finish with five.

While the Pacers won't have an MVP finalist on their roster this season, they play a team-first style of basketball. Their willingness to share the basketball has led to wins during their current playoff run.

Their offensive attacked is balanced, as they had seven players score double-digit points  during Sunday's game.

The Pacers will look to finish off the Cavaliers in Game 5, on the road, on Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EDT on TNT inside Rocket Arena.
