Qatar’s Ministry of Labour, in partnership with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants, has held a training course to enhance skills in internal auditing for nationals.

The course on “Internal Audit Standards” is aimed at preparing Qatari nationals with accounting degrees for employment in the private sector, according to Qatar News Agency.

The training programme provided participants with the necessary knowledge and skills in internal auditing.

The initiative is part of the nationalisation plan to increase the number of nationals working in the private sector, in line with the National Strategy for an Effective and Highly Productive Workforce (2024–2030).

Experts from the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants led detailed sessions on various subjects, including corporate governance, risk management, financial control, and modern accounting skills.

These sessions were in accordance with professional best practices and international standards, aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency and sustainability of institutions while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.

The training is one of many programmes organised by the Ministry of Labour throughout the year, in collaboration with public and private sector partners.

It is part of the Ministry’s strategic plan to improve the national workforce's competence, prepare them for competitive job market participation, and support their involvement in sustainable development.

This aligns with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 to establish the country as a centre of innovation and knowledge.
