The cruise company continues to break records.
In January 2024, Royal Caribbean made history with the debut of its first Icon Class ship, Icon of the Seas. The massive vessel still boasts the title as the world's largest cruise ship with 20 decks, 2,805 staterooms and the ability to hold up to 7,600 guests.
The company's second Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas, is scheduled to set sail on its maiden voyage in August 2025, followed by the third ship, Legend of the Seas, which will launch in Europe in summer 2026.
Royal Caribbean also grabbed headlines in 2024 thanks to its infamous 9-month Ultimate World Cruise aboard the Serenade of the Seas.
Its passengers, many of whom became social media stars while documenting their journey on Instagram and Tiktok, embarked on the epic journey to more than 65 countries in December 2023 from Miami, and it officially came to an end in September 2024.
That same month, the cruise company revealed there will be another Ultimate World Cruise and more details will be announced on the upcoming reunion sailing in September 2025.
