SDSU-USD rivalry game to be nationally televised for second year in a row

BROOKINGS — The 2025 Interstate Series between the South Dakota State and South Dakota football teams will once again be broadcast to a nationally televised audience.

The Jackrabbits and Coyotes will meet on Nov. 8 in the DakotaDome. That will be broadcast on one of the ESPN networks, but the time and network decision will come at a later date.

The two teams played an overtime contest in 2024 in Brookings that was televised on ESPNU, which the Jacks won 20-17.

In addition, both teams will also have one additional nationally televised matchup. The Coyotes’ season-opener at Iowa State will be broadcast at 2:30 p.m. on Fox on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.

The Jacks’ Dakota Marker rivalry matchup with North Dakota State on Oct. 25 at Dykhouse Stadium in Brookings will also be in the national spotlight. The time and network for that matchup will also be announced at a later date.

The SDSU-USD and NDSU-SDSU matchups were the two Missouri Valley Football Conference home games selected for national television distribution, which is part of the network's six-year contract to carry multiple regular-season Missouri Valley football games each season.
