Sepp Straka and Wife Paige Are Rivals

Sepp Straka is turning heads at the Truist Championship, firing a clutch 4-under 66 on Saturday to grab a share of the lead alongside Shane Lowry. With five birdies, two bogeys, and 11 pars, Straka is eyeing a strong finish in Sunday’s final round. A clutch birdie on the 17th has fans wondering if a final round surge is on the cards.

Off the course, Straka shares a love story with his wife Paige that’s as competitive as it is heartwarming. The couple met in Auburn at the iconic Sky Bar during the UGA vs. Auburn game, a meeting that sparked both a romance and a college football rivalry. “I always thought that I would meet my husband in Auburn,” Paige once said.

"I did meet the love of my life in Auburn, at Sky Bar, icing on the cake!, but he turned out to be the BIGGEST UGA fan on the planet. We antagonized each other that entire first night-- and the night after. Is it weird that I liked the banter back and forth? Honestly, I think that's what sparked the connection," she added.

Despite the SEC split, love prevailed. Sepp and Paige got married and now share a family, including their son Leo. 

Straka recalled their first meeting fondly: “We met at the UGA/Auburn game in Auburn… We really hit it off after the game even though she was being pretty vocal about Auburn winning.” He even joked, “Thankfully, that’s the last time Auburn has beaten Georgia, so I haven’t had to hear it since.”

Now, when Sepp’s not on the course, he’s back home “with Leo and Paige, feeling like a champion!” as he once shared in a social media post.

As Straka gears up for a thrilling final round at the Truist Championship, fans will be watching closely, not just for his golf, but for the family cheering him on, SEC banter and all.
