Also in our carts: breathable Crocs clogs, supportive Asics sneakers and summery Cole Haan sandals, all at steep discounts.

With all our summer adventures — whether it’s boardwalk strolls, beach days, bike rides or hikes — our feet can really rack up the miles. Which is why we're all about scooping up comfortable styles that have been recommended to us by the pros. While podiatrist-backed shoes usually cost a pretty penny, there are tons of footwear options on sale at Amazon right now, including unbelievable discounts on shoes that some of our favorite podiatrists recommend.

That's right, you can save big on the stylish and supportive brands known for comfort, like Dr. Scholl's, Crocs, Vionic, Skechers and more. As someone who shops for a living, I can assure you — there's never a bad time to treat yourself to a new pair of shoes. But if you've been looking for a little nudge to go for it, well, consider this it! From podiatrist-designed loafers to super-cushy sneakers and strappy sandals, these are the doctor-approved summer shoes I’m grabbing while they’re still on sale.

A pair of flip-flops that are actually good for your feet? Yes, they do exist! Dr. Hillary Brenner, DPM, at Private Medical in New York City tells us, “I like the FitFlop brand as the majority of their shoes have a rubber outsole (which helps with friction) and the arch is thick with a wide chunky heel giving extra support." The biomechanically engineered sandals are slip-resistant and have an ergonomic footbed that is ultra-comfortable.

Grab this pretty light blue pair for as little as $17 — that's over 60% off! Prices do vary by size and style, however.

All Vionics have been specially designed by podiatrists to provide the support and comfort you need for a full day on your feet. These loafers have the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Acceptance thanks to their lightweight, flexible outsoles and shock-absorbing cushioning that contribute to good foot health. We love this gorgeous pink — and certain sizes are nearly 30% off right now!

If you need shoes with extra reinforcement in the arch, Dr. Dana Canuso, podiatrist and chemist, loves this pair of Skechers because "they are cute and offer great arch support — perfect for everyday wear!" Made with the brand’s patented comfort pillar technology, they are designed "to react to your every step for ultimate comfort."

These also feature a dual-density outsole for extra support and stability and a reinforced toe to protect your feet from the elements. And they're machine-washable — always a bonus in our book.

Canuso says Cole Haan is also one of her go-to brands for comfortable heels, and our Commerce Director, Jeanine Edwards, is obsessed with this sleek pair as well. The heels are made with the brand’s signature GRANDFØAM technology, which supplies ample arch support and responsive cushioning.

Edwards tells us, "I've worn these heels for a full 8-hour workday and at no point was I praying to take them off. I've also worn them to a reception that included lots of dancing and my feet were comfortable the entire time." Grab the summery raffia style while it's over 20% off.

More than 11,900 Amazon shoppers have given these sock-like sneakers their five-star seal of approval, including nurses, teachers and essential workers. And doctors love them too! Board-certified podiatrist, Dr. Polina Zaydenberg said the sole offers excellent shock absorption.

"The platform is great for heel pain and metatarsalgia [pain in the ball of the foot]," she said. Zaydenberg also raved about the roomy toe box, a must if you have bunions or hammertoes.

For 200 years, Clarks has been producing shoes that prioritize comfort, and at as low as $31 (and over 40% off), this sandal is close to its lowest price of the year. (Note that prices vary by size and color.) "Clarks offer a lot of support," says Zaydenberg

"Most of the shoes have wider toe boxes, which helps prevent bunions, hammertoes and neuromas." She also notes that Clarks are great for people with flat feet.

Available in both regular and wide widths (prices vary by size and style) these Asics are ultra-cushioned and feature a lug outsole that's a big help with traction, so you can wear them on your next hike. Zaydenberg loves their excellent shock absorption and adds this: "The rocker bottom helps with propulsion."

""I love these shoes and have walked well over 1,000 miles in them," shared a happy Amazon reviewer. "They are comfortable, have bright colors and didn't break the bank."

On the hunt for some cute strappy sandals you can walk for miles in? Look no further! These boast adjustable hook-and-loop closures, a flexible sole and extra cushioning in the heel to keep your feet feeling great no matter how many steps you take — all for nearly 40% off.

“Dr. Scholl’s shoes have a shock-absorbable cushion and most styles have a sturdy shank,” says Zaydenberg. “The toe box is accommodative too.”

These offer a flexible cork sole and soft suede footbed similar to Birkenstocks (but at a much more affordable price point, sale or no sale). With so many colors to choose from, you'll definitely want to grab a couple of pairs while they are as little as $35.

It's the straps that won over Zaydenberg. "They can accommodate any type of foot, even wide ones," she explains, adding: "The sole is accommodative for those with metatarsalgia and heel spurs."

Crocs' classic clog has been a bestselling shoe for so long that it's become iconic — what was once a controversial style is now all the rage. So partake in the kind of all-day comfort you can only dream of, and do it unironically!

"They’re wide and extremely lightweight," says foot surgeon Diane Koshimune of these popular clogs." People love to say that their favorite shoes are "like walking on air,” but thousands of reviewers can confirm that in the case of Crocs, it's the truth.

Another style similar to Birks is these toe-ring slides. The sandals boast a flexible cork footbed and supple suede insole that contours to your foot with wear and keeps you cool at the same time.

See those adjustable straps? They're great for those with narrow or wide feet who need to customize their fit. Zaydenberg says they're also a great pick for people with metatarsalgia and plantar fasciitis.
