O2X Human Performance and Building Homes for Heroes Partner on Integrated Health Workshop
, /PRNewswire/ -- On March 11th & 12th, San Antonio-based veterans and first responders will participate in a training and education workshop focused on mental, physical, and emotional well-being. The event will be led by O2X Human Performance, a training and education company that works primarily with tactical populations to optimize occupational performance, and sponsored by Building Homes for Heroes.
Building Homes for Heroes has been making a significant difference in the lives of wounded American service members and their families since 2006 by constructing, modifying and gifting homes mortgage-free. In December, the organization proudly reached its milestone 400th home during a large ceremony in Dallas. In addition to providing housing solutions, the organization offers support services that enable veterans and first responders to build better lives in academics, business and athletics. Through these support services, Building Homes for Heroes and O2X have developed a partnership which has now served over 12,800 veterans and first responders.
"Gifting homes is not the only foundation of what we do for our nation's heroes," said Building Homes for Heroes CEO Andy Pujol. "Beyond this life-changing gift, we are dedicated to empowering our veterans and first responders to thrive in civilian life and ultimately reach new heights. Our partnership with O2X underscores our commitment to the physical and mental well-being of all those who put their lives on the line to protect our safety."
The workshop will feature a customized curriculum led by members of the O2X team, including U.S. Special Operations veterans and specialists across a broad range of human performance disciplines. Veterans and first responders from agencies around the San Antonio region will come together to receive this customized training, which include topics such as nutrition, sleep health, stress management, yoga, and resilience - each tailored to meet the unique needs of service members.
O2X has successfully collaborated with hundreds of public safety departments, federal agencies and the military. It provides customized human performance programs to elevate culture, improve mental and physical wellbeing and support healthy lifestyles.
"When those serving in public safety step onto the job, they are signing up for a long and stressful career. It's critical they learn techniques to manage that stress in healthy ways," said Adam La Reau, co-founder at O2X Human Performance. "We're proud to collaborate with a reputable organization like Building Homes for Heroes to deliver a curriculum geared towards bettering the lives of these heroes - both past and present."
The workshop is scheduled to take place at 3982 FM 775, La Vernia, TX 78121, USA.
