'Targeted terror attack' in Colorado - reports of several victims

The FBI is investigating a "targeted terror attack" in Boulder, Colorado - with reports of several victims.

FBI Director Kash Patel said: "Our agents and local law enforcement are on the scene already, and we will share updates as more information becomes available".

Witnesses told US media a suspect had thrown petrol bombs at people doing a walk to remember Israeli hostages in Gaza.

A male suspect is in custody.

Local police said there were "several victims" and that several blocks of a pedestrianised shopping area had been evacuated.

Police chief Steve Redfearn said initial reports it received were that somebody was setting people on fire.

He said injuries ranged from "very serious" to "minor".

However, Mr Refearn said the motive was unclear and declined to call it a terror attack at this stage.
