If you love fashion, living in New York City provides a constant stream of inspiration. From chic off-duty models to the more adventurous street style of the everyday woman, almost any New Yorker can be your muse. I love seeing how someone styles their wide-leg jeans or checking out the new handbags people carry each season. I'm constantly asking, "Hey, where did you get that?" A lot of fashion trends get their start in NYC and, based on what I'm seeing all the stylish people wear, I'm calling it: The Nike V2K Run shoes are the next "It" sneaker.
The women of NYC especially like this white pair with silver accents, and I see why — they go with everything and they're not too flashy.
At my Pilates studio, the Nike V2K Run sneakers line the locker room. Every time I walk my dog through the park, I see at least five people wearing them. At a recent press event, a few editors walked in with V2Ks adorning their feet. Of course, now I want a pair too.
The Nike V2K Run is a more modern play on the Nike Vomero (which came out in 2006). They have a layer of flashy metallic accents, a vintage-inspired chunky heel and come in 15 colors. The shoes have a light, breathable mesh upper, a comfy foam midsole and a rubber outsole for traction. Sure, they're technically running shoes, but if you're really a runner, you probably have a pair of the brand's Vaporfly or Pegasus kicks. The V2Ks, however, are perfect for walking, and by that we mean walking on trend.

Off the city streets and in reviews, Nike shoppers rave about them. "So comfortable and light! They feel like walking on air. I’m not usually a fan of running style trainers but these look so good!" said one.
"These shoes are quite literally in the top three of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn," said another impressed customer. "These shoes are so light yet supportive, I literally felt like I was floating when I was walking."
One person who wore them to work out said: "Love these. They're super comfy, perfect for weight-training and cardio days. Plus they look so good, I've had a few compliments already."
The Nike V2K Run shoes regularly go for $120, but select retailers are offering them on sale. Just note that if you see a size and color you like, grab them — before they catch fire outside of NYC and start selling out.
Dick's Sporting Goods has a lot of colors on sale, including this pretty and subtle pink hue with rose gold accents.
DSW also has some great styles for less. This all-white pair is perfect for fashion minimalists and will go with just about anything.
Nordstrom has a few special-edition V2K colors, including this pink, and shoppers love them. One reviewer noted their immediate comfort, saying there was "no break-in period needed for these!"
If you're looking for a more high-end version of these sneakers, check out this Gore-Tex pair from Net-A-Porter in a universally flattering, versatile taupe.
