After a long day, sometimes your face can feel a bit, well, grimy. Your natural oils are starting to melt off your makeup, a tiny bit of sweat has accumulated on your upper lip and you just feel like you need to thoroughly clean and rejuvenate your face. We get it! That's how we came across the Nuria Defend Face Exfoliator, a bottle of pure magic that gently rolls off dead skin. And we're glad to report that it's currently on sale for $16 at Amazon.
This gentle-yet-powerful exfoliant is excellent for dull skin looking for a bit of a pick-me-up. It's even safe for sensitive skin!
Why is this a good deal? 💰
This exfoliating treatment is 11% off at Amazon, which will save you two bucks. We know, that's not whole a lot, but $16 is the lowest price it ever goes. That said, by comparison, if you were to go get a facial, it would cost you a whole lot more. You won't need to with this stuff, and one bottle should last for months.
Why do I need this? 🤔
The Nuria Defend Gentle Exfoliator doesn't use microbeads or other rough ingredients to eradicate dead skin. Instead, it's a chemical exfoliator. It utilizes a powerful combination of ginkgo, lactic acid and glycerin. The ginkgo works to unclog your pores and lift away dirt, oil and other impurities. Fruit-derived lactic acid sloughs away dead skin to reveal a brighter complexion underneath, while glycerin leaves your skin looking (and feeling) super soft.
That said, this isn't a cleanser — it's a skin treatment. You can use it two to three times per week after washing your face. Apply it to wet skin, gently massage it in and watch as your dead skin pill up — gross? More like satisfying! Then, rinse it off and pat your skin dry. Follow up a toner and your go-to moisturizer.
Another bonus: The formula is totally clean, cruelty-free and vegan.
This gentle exfoliator uses safe chemicals versus physical beads to slough off dead skin cells and reveal brighter, clearer skin. (Amazon)
What reviewers say 💬
The majority of Amazon reviewers give this exfoliator a five-star rating and say that while it removes dead skin, it's gentle.
Pros
"This stuff is amazing at exfoliating! You will feel the [dead] skin coming off your face, which can be a bit gross but it’s so good!" raved this enthusiastic endorser. "When you rinse it off you will feel the smooth skin and when you apply your products after they will absorb right it. You will not regret it."
"I am IN LOVE with this stuff," a nurse noted. "It gently exfoliates without being too harsh, washes off easily and my skin feels great... I have cystic acne, as well as being a nurse so I wear masks ALL THE TIME and this exfoliator is so good for my skin. It leaves my face feeling fresh, clean, soft and smooth. My makeup goes on much smoother and lasts longer!"
Even women with sensitive skin swear by it. Shared one: "Never thought I could use an exfoliator of any kind. I have VERY sensitive skin. I am in my sixties and have developed severe acne, and the acne products I'm using don't seem to really clean my face or work well. Finally, after too many years of avoiding exfoliating products, I gave this a try. It's so gentle and really helps with removing all the junk from my face."
Cons 👎
"This does a great job of exfoliating your face, but it left my face very oily. I use it only at night," said one four-star reviewer. Our advice? Make sure you rinse it all off and go about your regular skin-care routine once you're done.
Use it two to three times a week to keep your skin looking bright and feeling smooth.
