This super-plush, $25 towel set made me realize what true luxury feels like

When my fiancé and I were creating our wedding registry, we threw on the obligatory gifts: cutlery, bedding, dish sets, etc., etc. — and bath towels. Down to $25, this is the lowest price the Modern Threads towel set has been all year. Even when not on sale, the towels are pretty affordable at $37, but who could be mad about a 32% discount? And if you do the math, each piece in this expensive-looking set is just $4.

Why do I need this? 🤔

I didn’t think much about upgrading my towels — until I did. Turns out, a towel refresh can make a bigger difference than you'd expect. After a shower, you’re clean and recharged — shouldn’t your towel match the vibe? And if your hair-wash days double as a full-body workout like mine (thick haired-women, amiright?), finishing up by wrapping up in something soft and plush makes all the difference. The Modern Threads Air Cloud towels more than deliver — they elevate the whole experience.

The perfect blend of super soft but still absorbent, these towels are made of 100% cotton. They soak up water fast without drying out your skin (and both my fiancé and I have very sensitive, reactive skin) too much or frizzing up your hair. Cons 👎

A handful of shoppers note a few issues with the towels. A few, like this five-star reviewer, flagged that the set "sheds a lot of lint when drying." For what it's worth, I only found that the towels shed a little bit during the first wash, but they were totally fine after.

Meanwhile, a sharp-eyed shopper noticed that the "color changed slightly after washing in lukewarm water with mild detergent."
