Roman Dolidze evened the score with Marvin Vettori on Saturday, and the scorecards weren't nearly as close in this one.
The Georgian won his rematch against the Italian by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46) in the main event at UFC Vegas 104 inside the Apex, securing his third straight win.
The fight began with a close first two rounds before Vettori stepped forward in the third. Dolidze responded with a dominant performance in the championship round. The stats only give him a moderate advantage in significant strikes in a main event fought entirely upright, but that doesn't quite reflect the punishing nature of his blows. A knee gave Vettori a significant cut near his eye in the fourth round.

Dolidze's biggest trouble might have been with the ref, as Herb Dean warned him about eye pokes before the second round. A minute later, Dolidze got Vettori with an eye poke and got another talking to from Dean, but no point was lost.
The victor had a pair of ambitious call-outs after the fight: demanding one of Robert Whittaker or Israel Adesanya.
Despite defeating Dolidze in their first meet up at UFC 286 in March 2023, Vettori entered Saturday with plenty to prove. Some people who watched that first fight will tell you Dolidze deserved the win, which Vettori took by split decision.
Vettori had also fought only once since that bout, setting a middleweight record for the most significant strikes absorbed in a fight with 249 in a unanimous decision loss to Jared Cannonier in June 2023. The Italian hasn't fought since then due to shoulder injuries. It had been nearly five years since he last won a fight without needing a scorecard.
Dolidze, meanwhile, lost to Nassourdine Imavov after the first Vettori fight, then bounced back with wins over Anthony Smith and Kevin Holland. Despite the numbers next to their names, the two fighters in the Octagon were both a loss away from losing anything resembling contender status.
In the co-main event, Chidi Njokuani notched his third straight win since moving back to welterweight, and his second after missing weight.
He put away Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos in the second round, sending him to the floor with a knee then ending the fight with a barrage of strikes on the ground.
The fight was held at catchweight after Njokuani weighed in at 172.25 pounds. It was at least an entertaining card by Apex standards, with nine finishes before that main event.
