Bomb threat: American Airlines New York-Delhi flight diverted to Rome

JFK-Delhi nonstop (AA 292) diverted to

Rome

following a

bomb threat

for the flight. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner had taken off from JFK on Saturday (Feb 22) 8.14 pm and was over the Caspian Sea when it turned back towards Europe.
In a statement, the airline said, “AA 292, operating from New York to Delhi, has been diverted to Rome due to a potential security threat onboard.

We are working closely with local authorities and will provide updates as the situation develops. We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our passengers.”
