Florence Pugh's signature bold style takes center stage during 'Thunderbolts*' press tour: See her best looks

Florence Pugh knows how to orchestrate a red carpet moment. The 29-year-old actress has long been praised for bringing a unique point of view to press tour dressing — and she’s achieved that once again, this time while promoting Marvel’s Thunderbolts*, which hits theaters on May 2.

Since the press tour kicked off earlier this month, Pugh has worn an array of fabrics, silhouettes and designers, all while embracing her signature nonconforming and statement-making style.

“Your opinion of what works and what doesn’t will change,” Pugh told Harper’s Bazaar UK of what she’s learned about her style. “The more and more I work with incredible designers and incredible stylists on shoots, and also my own stylist, Rebecca Corbin-Murray, I’ve been exposed to so many beautiful fabrics and colors, and shapes. So naturally, over the years, I’ve probably just been able to understand my body a bit more. And I’ve been allowed to have a bit more fun, and I’ve been allowed to enjoy the red carpet.”

April 4: Content day in L.A.

For the first week of press for Thunderbolts*, Pugh put an edgy spin on workwear when she stepped out in a black blazer minidress with jewel embellishments by David Koma. She finished the look with Giaborghini knee-high boots, chunky belts by B-Low the Belt and cat eye sunglasses by DMY Studios.

April 22: European premiere

Pugh channeled Gothic romanticism at the European premiere of Thunderbolts*. She descended on London’s Leicester Square in a dramatic black Elie Saab gown from the fall 2024 collection. Featuring a plunging neckline, fitted bodice, drop waist and tulle skirt, as well as delicate horizontal paneling and floral lace embroidery, the gown played perfectly to Pugh’s love of sheer garments.

April 24: U.K. photocall

Continuing her gothic-infused styling streak, Pugh stepped out in a Francesco Murano ensemble from the designer’s spring 2025 collection. The matching set consisted of a plunging black leather bralette with subtle corsetry and a high-waisted pencil skirt with a thigh-high slit.

April 28: More L.A. press

A favorite pairing for Pugh? A minidress and knee-high boots. The Thunderbolts* star wore a strapless charcoal minidress with belt-like details, leather bomber jacket and suede boots from Italian brand the Attico. She finished the look with minimal jewels by Rainbow K.

April 28: ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

For her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Pugh once again opted for black leather, this time wearing a mid-length Marine Serre dress with a scoop neckline and puffed straps. She completed the look with Christian Louboutin pumps.

April 28: World premiere

Ruffles galore! Pugh put on dreamy display during the Thunderbolts* world premiere in Los Angeles. In line with her gothic-meets-romantic style sensibilities on this press tour, the 29-year-old star wore a strapless mint green gown from McQueen’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection with a ruffled sweetheart neckline, ruched bodice, and cascading ruffles along the skirt.

April 30: ‘Good Morning America’

Power suiting — but make it off-duty! Ahead of her Good Morning America appearance in New York City, Pugh was spotted in an archival Thierry Mugler look that featured a structured suit jacket with a subtle flair at the waist and matching skirt. For finishing touches, she opted for metallic silver heels by Paris Texas and Oliver Peoples sunglasses.

April 30: A boho-chic moment

While in New York City, Pugh channeled Bohemian style in a semi-sheer, off-the-shoulder frock. With a drop waist, subtly tiered skirt and scalloped sleeves, the dress made for a simple yet chic choice.
