Indiana Fever Facing Backlash for Decision After Caitlin Clark Injury

The Indiana Fever are working through a three-game losing streak amid Caitlin Clark's absence from the lineup.

After four games to start the season, Clark was sidelined with a left quadriceps injury. The initial report revealed that Clark would be held out of the lineup for a minimum of two weeks.

So far with Clark out of the lineup, the Fever have lost back-to-back games to the Connecticut Sun and the Washington Mystics.

As they look to improve, Indiana made an addition to its roster.

On Monday, the Fever signed former WNBA lottery pick Aari McDonald with an emergency hardship exception. Indiana signed a replacement player because the active roster fell under the 10-player limit due to injuries.

Upon the release of the announcement, some fans took to social media, sharing their thoughts on the 5-foot-6 Aari McDonald signing by the Indiana Fever. She will join WNBA All-Star Kelsey Mitchell (5-8) in the backcourt.

"Our backcourt as tall as I am idk how that’s not concerning to people," said one fan

"Girl I’m taller than our backcourt Hoping we get wins before Caitlin comes back," mentioned one fan

"5'6 & 5'8 in our backcourt lol," said one fan

"I just saw the signing. Listed at 5’6. The front office terrible," said another fan

"We are cooked," commented one fan

"She only averages 2.8 assists per game for her career and she's 5'6. I don't know how I feel about this one," said one fan
