This 'whimsical' mushroom night-light, only $6, changes colors on its own

Many of us dream of waking up like Snow White, cozied up in a cabin in the mountains with the sun shining and the birds chirping. The reality? Another cold, gray day rushing to work or wrangling the kids (maybe both). Well, the Rienar Sensor Night Light can add a charming touch of nature to your home and maybe even brighten your day. It'll definitely brighten your night when you're fumbling your way to the bathroom at 2:00 a.m.

Think about it — everyone needs a night-light. The only thing worse than having a good dream interrupted by the call of nature is stubbing your toe on the way into the bathroom. But what if nature could help light the way? There's just something about this little gadget that looks and feels ethereal, like an assortment of friendly forest animals might gather 'round while you burst into song.

The Rienar has three built-in lights, one for each mushroom: blue, yellow and white. These turn on automatically when it gets dark, and what's more, they adjust automatically depending on how dark it is. Even so, the night-light uses barely any power at all. It's dim enough that it won't distract you while you sleep, but bright enough to help you dodge that one table leg that has it out for your shins.

It might seem like it came from Amazon, but make no mistake: A faerie delivered it. (Amazon)

And listen: When over 13,000 people leave a review for a night-light, you know it has to be good. Plenty of them have some form of this to say: "Makes me smile every time I see it."

"Oh my gosh — we absolutely love it!" raved one tickled fan. "We put it in the bathroom for late-night bathroom breaks and it fills the room with just enough light. And, the colors are variegated! They change colors every few seconds. It is delightful and whimsical. I think this is perfect for all ages, honestly, but I could see kids going nuts for this."

Another shared, "Super cute! ... The darker it is, the brighter it shines. The light sensor is on the bottom, so it seems to work better than normal light-sensing lights. The color change is subtle but great. Love it!"

If the idea of a forest getaway sounds like a dream come true, you'll love these lights. "It gives off a decent amount of light, so I can go into the kitchen at night and still navigate," this night owl explained. "It's quite attractive with the shifting colors, and the 'glowing fungus' effect is nice. Additional plus: It shuts off when the kitchen lights are on."

Buyers have relatively few complaints. "The only downside is that the material gets dusty," said one shopper. And this buyer had a simple gripe that's completely fair: "[I] just wish there was an on and off switch."

It's a night-light, so it'll keep you from tripping. But it's a color-changing mushroom night-light, so you might feel like you're tripping anyway.
